Little Smiles, Big Stories

Every smile has a story

At The Shine Dental Clinic, a trusted child-friendly dentist in Lalitpur. Long before we look at a single tooth, we focus something more important that is trust. Every appointment starts with a warm welcome and time spent letting a child feel safe in a space that doesn’t feel clinical at all, where they can explore, ask questions, and even draw before treatment begins. Dentistry at The Shine Dental Clinic isn’t just about healthy teeth, it’s about turning a hesitant first step into a confident smile, one comfortable visit at a time.

Behind every drawing is a story we're proud of

This wall isn’t just a thank-you note pinned to a wall, it’s proof of a promise kept. Each drawing, note, and little creation on this wall is more than art; it captures a moment of courage, joy, and quiet transformation, from a child who once hesitated at our door to one who left brave enough to pick up a crayon and tell us so.

We treasure every piece, not as a decoration, but as a reminder of why we do what we do because behind it is a child who found their smile.

Toothy creature drawing

This one came from a little imgination that had clearly been let loose after a checkup. Drawing like this remind us that a trip to the dentist doesn't have to end in tears, sometimes it ends in giggles, a stretch of the imagination, and a monster with an impressive set of teeth.

I love Doctors

Farah put together her own little guide to good teeth versus bad teeth, complete with expressions for each. Underneath it, a note thanking us for saving her teeth from decay, proof that when children understand what's happening in their mouths, they leave feeling proud rather than afraid.

Good teeth, bad teeth portrait

One of our patients turned a simple dental lesson into real art, sketching a portrait detailed enough to show the difference between a healthy smile and a neglected one. He understood it well enough it explain it in his own way.

Welcome to The Shine Dental

Sometimes the warmest welcome to our clinic doesn't come from our staff, it comes from the kids themselves. This hand-lettered sign has been sitting on our wall ever since, greeting every new child who walks through the door the same way its artist once was.

Abstract shapes and sun

Rikzen's drawing has nothing to do with teeth, and that's exactly why we love it. Between the waiting room and the treatment chair, we always leave space for kids to draw whatever is on their mind. Sunshine, shapes, color, anything because comfort matters just as much as care.

Dentist figure drawing

This is how one patient chose to picture us: not as someone to be afraid of, but as a helper standing by with a tool in hand, ready to make things better. It's a simple drawing, but it says a lot about how a visit here actually feels from a child's point of view.

House sketch with a row of coloured toothbrush-like items and a purple figure

Home, colour, and a whole row of toothbrushes lined up in a row, this drawing is a gentle reminder that good dental care doesn't start and end at our clinic. It starts at home, with small daily habits, and we're always glad when a child's art reflects that.

Joanna Artwork

Not every story on our wall is soft and sunny, and we think that's worth keeping, Joanna processed her visit through a bit of drama and imagination, and we'd rather display an honest reaction than pretend every child leaves without a single nervous moment. That honesty is part of what makes this wall feel real.

Blue house drawing

Home is often the very first thing children draw when they start to feel settled somewhere even inside a dentist's waiting room. This little blue house, drawn in a few quiet minutes before an appointment, tells us the visit was going just fine.

"Oh no!" cartoon figure

A little dramatic flair, courtesy of one of our younger patients. We've learned that dental visits go a lot more smoothly when there's room for a joke, a laugh, or an "oh no" over something silly, it takes the edge off far better than a stern reminder to sit still.

Colourful abstract pattern

A burst of colour with no particular rules to follow dots, hearts, and whatever else came to mind. We don't ask children to draw anything specific while they wait; we just hand over some crayons and let a few quiet, unhurried minutes do the rest.
